Safe Haven Outreach Ministry, Inc2012 Annual Client Cookout

On August 31, 2012, SHOM held their Annual Client Cookout at Hains' Point from 9:00am-5:30pm. This is a very special event for the clients because they get to interact with one another. It also helps with the development of social skills between men and women. The menu included: barbecue spareribs, fried chicken, grilled barbecue chicken, hotdogs, hamburgers, baked beans, potato salad, macaroni/tuna salad, salad, an assortment of chips, watermelon, water, sodas, iced tea, punch, as well as an abundance of steamed crabs. The clients and staff participated in playing cards, listening to music, dancing, jumping rope, kickball, catch with the baseball, throwing the frisbee, waterguns and just plain relaxing. It was a day full of fun, happiness, good food and great people. At the end of the day, the smiles on the faces of the clients brought joy to all of the SHOM staff.
